Online poker is usually less imtimidating for new players.
Online poker do not require to abililty to have a 'poker-face', that is the emotionally control which makes it hard for the other players to read you for the strength of your hand
Online poker usually proceeds at a much faster speed than conventional poker. This is due to no physical cards having to be shuffled and dealt.
Online poker may be played at several tables simultanously. This may increase winnings for gifted players.
However, online poker also has a potential for fraud and cheating.
